Hi, I’m Alex.
After graduating from Berghs School of Communication, I got my foot in the door of the second best ad agency in Sweden because of my meme account. There, I got to write and execute the social strategy for McDonald’s. Long story short, I ended up making memes about burgers for two years. We took the brand from a boring corporate account where the only engagement consisted of complaints, to one of the most beloved brand accounts in the country.
Making content was fun. But it wasn’t until I got to work on a campaign I came into my own as a creative. The brief was to promote Spicy Nuggets. I managed to pitch the idea that we should make a hip hop music video. I found the ones who made the best music videos in the country: two young women from the suburbs of Stockholm. They had never done commercial work before.
The result may not look like something out of the ordinary to you, but in Sweden, nothing like this had ever been done before. Or since. And that’s why I’m looking for my next challenge. More specifically, I want to work at a place where people believe in culture, humour, social media and ideas that push the boundaries of what marketing can be. Because that’s what I bring to the table as a creative.
As a leader… well, I had to become one when my mentors on the McDonald’s team quit and left me in charge of the client relation and two new creatives. That was three years ago. Since then, I’ve been recruited by Sweden’s #1 agency, won some pitches and awards, and spread my wings as a freelancer.
Now, I’m ready for what’s next.
”Alexander is very creative and flexible while also daring to challenge his clients. He also takes on areas that are typically outside his expertise
with a true doer mentality.
I can highly recommend Alexander!”
